<p>While all you elitists were getting your election news from the <em>New York Times</em>, MSNBC, and the Huffington Post, the <a href="http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/">Weekly World News</a> was providing some excellent coverage for us REAL Americans. They were the ones who broke the story on <a href="http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/celebs/sarah-palien/">Sarah Palin's extraterrestrial roots</a>:</p> <div style="margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;padding:0;font-size:x-small;text-align:center"><img src="/wp-content/images/alienpalin.jpg" class="centered"/><p>What did you <em>think</em> was under that beehive?</p></div> <p>When you think about it, it seems obvious. Who else but an alien could be <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/11/05/palin-didnt-know-africa-i_n_141653.html">so bad</a> at Earth geography?</p> <p>I wish I had been following their coverage through the whole election season. But really, I'm just glad this whole thing is over. I don't have a TV, so I wandered down to a local bar to watch the speeches. I never really supported either candidate, but, like everyone else, I became increasingly disappointed by McCain's campaign. I felt like he was better than that. I never would have voted for him, but I never thought I'd see him go so low. I never thought he'd actually inspire me to vote against him. His classy, gracious concession speech, though, was redemptive.
