Torture Squid: The Comic
I mentioned the Torture Squid in my review of City of Saints and Madmen. It's a (fictitious) series of books about some young hooligans who transform into squid-men and continue to wreak havoc on the city of Ambergris. The only references to the series in City are as hilarious entries in the annotated bibliography for "King Squid." This idea was way too good to not develop. Thankfully, City's author Jeff VanderMeer and comic artist Zach Taylor are teaming up to produce a comic about the teenage squid thugs!
